Sri Lanka is one of the most beautiful islands in the world. A 270 mile long, tear-drop shaped land, located at the southern tip of the Indian sub-continent and surrounded by the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. Sri Lanka is blessed,fortunate with golden,soft, sandy beaches and a seemingly endless and unspoiled,wild,untouched palm fringed coastline.

Sri Lanka has undergone considerable upheaval of late, ranging from on-again, off-again political and ethnic unrest to the more recent indescribable devastation and tragic loss of life unleashed on the population without warning by the Boxing Day tsunami in 2004. In spite of this Sri Lanka’s many and varied inhabitants are truly some of the most outgoing, friendly, welcoming and genuinely delightful people that you are ever likely to have the good fortune to meet.
