Top 100 movies of all time
Every person has a diverse viewpoint of what the top 100 movies of all time are, but there are some classics we may all agree on. Any movie that really touches you and would make you feel a certain emotion is up for nomination to your personalized list. Every movie that you can relate to your own existence in a big way, or that portrays a comparable struggle that you have endured is a prospect as well. To create your own list would probably not require too much time if you genuinely love a lot of movies. There are also a whole lot of lists available all around the world wide web that you may research for ideas if you are stumped. Many of the places on the net that try to list a top 100 are usually biased or present only the movies that generate them money, and usually they all have the same similar “classic” choices that folks easily love like Disney movies or old black and white type films. The coincidence is not that these are truly greats, but that they are jammed down everyone’s throats and burnt into everyone’s minds so as to brainwash people into adhering to a herd mentality and thus selecting their most obvious and common choices.
Most people just select a movie as a “top” movie because everyone else says so or because it did well at the box office. Even more people select a film as one of the best because it has a lot of flash and hype. Lets face the facts, people nowadays are very easily led by the media and popular opinion. We live in a world of sheep minded weaklings! The failing of the education system and the development of global technology combined to give practically every mental midget out there a big dose of information overload! And that is worsened with amusement options such as video games, music, TV shows and the films we watch. People have so many choices these days that they find it too hard to make up their own minds so they just follow what everyone else would have them follow.
To truly choose a story that is well executed and engages the viewer, one needs to be intelligent and independent enough to examine for themselves what truly makes a film “great”. An opinion is just that, but a fact cannot be disputed or debated on. International movies like The Seven Samurai, and A Better Tomorrow, or indie films like The General are often ignored by American viewers because they are so used to getting all of their information from television or the mainstream media. Such a practice can make for a less rich educational environment and less cultured people. In the “melting pot” of races and nationalities this seems a little backwards, does it not?
Whenever you are thinking of what the best or greatest movies of all time are, do you think of so called Hollywood blockbusters, or do you think of true artistic developments globally? The marketplace for foreign films is ever improving for educated and intelligent people who can think with independent minds, but what about the remainder of the country? Why are we so far behind the remainder of the world in culture and liberty? These are things you should concern yourself with, but sadly most Americans do not even give it a second thought! Choosing something as simple as a classic and great movie has grow to be so convoluted by the mass ignorance that it is nearly impossible for most. Thankfully there are places that you can go to get a better feeling of what is truly great. You can enrich your mind and soul by viewing a truly great classic, or you can foster some more ADD tendencies by going with what is the average norm. The choice is up to you! Good luck with your search and happy film watching!
