How to Write Effective Posts on Facebook

Most internet marketers have started flocking to Facebook because of the reach it offers. One of the best ways to get Facebook to help you out is to make your own fan pages for the things you have to offer (or just for yourself).

This helps you update your fans regularly with very targeted posts. Of course, in order to get your posts to truly work for you, you need to think about a few things before you start typing. In the following article we shall be looking into a three simple tips that you can apply right away to write better and more effective posts that you can post on Facebook.

Facebook updates shouldn’t exceed 140 characters. Well, yes, that’s the Twitter rule but it applies to Facebook too. The reason for this is that people on Facebook are scanning through their newsfeed going through various posts that appear. You should be able to grab their glance with every update that you compose. If your update is lengthy people won’t want to read the whole thing. So, when you want people to actually take action based on a post you publish, that post needs to be simple and quick.

Showing off only alienates the people who have liked or “fanned” your page. Just be your true self. Your company and your brand are represented by you. Don’t put on a charade or try to show off about things.

It is important that your fans understand that you are there for them and that you’ll be there if they need to reach out to you. Acting like someone who is arrogant (or anywhere close to that) will only help you alienate the people on your page and get them to de-fan you. It’s possible to reach an achievement and tell people about what you have accomplished without being irritating or alienating.

Last, inspect your posts every so often and find out what is going on. If you do not have any comments, then something is not going right and you should make some changes. Maybe your posts are not very appealing. Or, it could be that your fans are searching for something else? Or, it could be that your fans want to see something else? Or, your fans were looking for a different kind of method. Possibly your posts just were not fresh enough. Whatever problem you are experiencing, when you go through your posts, you will be able to find a solution. When you are creating your posts, this will eventually provide a huge spike in your confidence level. You will have to analyze and change your posts if you want to get the best from them.

In summation, in order to get your Facebook posts to truly work for you, you should make sure that you take a professional approach to things. Don’t ignore this stuff, your working to build a brand for yourself; your fans shouldn’t think anything less of you. Your fan pages is something that you can use for a long time and that means that you need to do everything you can think of to make it valuable to people; updating it regularly is just a part of things.
